The 7,000 DVD’s I Ordered…
So avid readers of this blog (and the one it replaced *sigh*) will know how much of an avid English reader I am. Honestly, you can't keep me away from them!
Well I have some good news. The 7,000 English DVDs I ordered from www.people-who-really-really-love-english-really.com has arrived!
Here's a tip for prank phone callers. Don't make it really really obvious, really. At least make it *sound* possible, up until you drop the big bomb.
Anywho, if the person who called me is who I hope it is, thanks, maybe we should do something tomorrow? If it is who I think it is, stop calling me before I get my number changed. KTHXBAI
Campbell Watch 2008
Okay guys, it was the big race for our girl Cate, the 50m freestyle sprint.
I have some unfortunate news to report, she didn't win :'(
As sad as it sounds the teenager from Brisbane only took 3rd, finishing behind the American Torres (2nd) and Germany's Steffen (1st).
Well we're still behind you Cate! There is always the 2012 London games!
Repeated dDoS Attacks
The company which I lease server space from has been suffering from repeated Distributed Denial of Service attacks against it's "ethii" node, which just happens to be the node this (and my host's) site is on.
I apologize for the slow load times however there isn't much I can do. I have offered my support in terms of forensics and profiling but they have been refused. I expect the situation to be resolved within a few hours, but I cannot be sure.
New Ads Service and Proxy Page Update
As you might be able to tell, there are annoying graphic ads now placed on my site. This is due to me switching from Google adSense to ScribeFire's QuickAds. Basically I get payed every month (no matter what) rather than having to have a $100 balance.
Also, the Proxy Avoidance page got a little bit of a makeover as well... Enjoy

Ugh, I don’t know what to say
It was a pretty nice night. I got txts from random people (but I think I know who she is ; ) ) and that was pretty nice, I dunno, I just got to be random for about half an hour, something I’ve wanted to do for awhile. Plus, just talking to someone new was awesome, especially considering who it was.
I managed to get plenty of homework done on the boost, which made me even happier : )
I left the library since it was closing and I had a real craving for Ice Cream, dunno why, but I went to the store and they didn’t have the ice cream I wanted so I was sort of upset, not really though. But then things got worse.
I got back to the dorm, chatted with Janie for a bit, and basically, well, one of Her friend’s sisters died and both Janie and her friend are taking this really hard it seems. I don’t even know the person who actually passed away, but just knowing someone I care about is in pain has shifted my mood quite considerably.
Ugh, I think I’m off to happy dreamland. Goodnight.
A hero returns…
... Well sort of.
Its more of a limp than a heroic march that most would expect, but I'm here!
J-Networks, my hosting provider, has died apparently, I'm not entirely sure what the story is. I'm currently on some webspace donated by Nuky and Andre, from blaatschaap (or skyos, whichever you prefer) so a lot of the normal functionality is doing to be down for the time being.
I'm working hard on getting everything on the up and up but not much I can do at the time being.
